HK Timberbank launched after Typhoon Mangkhut uprooted tens of thousands of trees in the city. With more than 1,000 tons and more than 80 species of trees recycled starting 2019, HK Timberbank hopes to make a positive impact by eventually reducing the city’s reliance on imported wood. With more than ten young carpenters, the Yuen Long 20,000 sq. ft. HK Timberbank facility is equipped with professional sawmill, dry kiln and various machines to recycle felled trees.
